About Payson Rocks

PAYSON ROCKS!

There are no two ways about it.  Payson, Arizona, just a stone’s throw away from Phoenix (ok, about an hour and a half drive away) is a hidden paradise, a refuge and respite from the hustle and bustle of the city and a journey into the most incredibly pristine natural beauty you’ve ever seen. Untouched forests and  natural rippling streams, snow-capped mountains and exquisite rock formations, the best of  untrammeled nature lives here and it is — as one writer aptly described — nature at its best — nature “putting on quite a show.”

I find myself thanking God for such incredible beauty from the moment I cross the Salt River on Hwy 87 to the time I arrive in town about an hour later.  I also myself falling more and more in love with Payson every time I go for a visit.

It’s a remarkable place, a step back away from the crazy pace of everyday life.  Walk into Payson and you feel like you’ve stepped into a kind of beautiful small town heaven. It is  made up of genuinely good, down to earth, super friendly people who will stop to say hello and will strike up a conversation with you at the drop of a hat as if  you’re a long lost friend.

I’ll be coming back to write more about this wonderful little town and the remarkable beauty of its surrounding communities and forests.  But for now I’ll just say,  Payson Rocks!
